    Last updated 1 year ago

Sun damage is an inevitable fact of life, but for people who live in Arizona, it’s an even more serious problem than for residents of other parts of the country. Fortunately for those of us in the copper state, Peoria Cosmetic Surgery now offers fractional CO2 laser treatment. In this video, you will receive an explanation and demonstration of the procedure. Fractional CO2 laser therapy is a safe and effective form of skin rejuvenation, a substantial improvement over previous laser treatments because it only affects certain portions of the skin. Instead of removing the entire upper layer of skin, fractional CO2 laser therapy removes only portions of it, allowing for quicker healing, no complications and very gratifying results.

If you’re interested in fractional CO2 laser therapy, then you should consult with Peoria Cosmetic Surgery. Peoria Cosmetic Surgery serves the metropolitan Phoenix area providing high quality, affordable and safe cosmetic surgeries and procedures such as fractional CO2 laser therapy, breast augmentation, and facelift surgery. Is Botox or Dysport Right For You?

    Last updated 1 year ago

How can you be sure that Botox is right for you? In this article, we’ll explore what Botox and Dysport are, what they are capable of, and whether or not their right for you:

    What Are Botox and Dysport?

Several decades ago, scientists discovered that if refined botulinum toxin was administered in tiny doses by a capable physician, then it could be used to prevent muscles from contracting, providing relief for people suffering from illnesses that cause spasms in various parts of the body. Researchers also realized that the medication could be used to temporarily smooth away the wrinkles on a patient’s forehead, because those wrinkles are caused by the constant contraction of the forehead muscles.  Botox was first of a group of drugs known as neurotoxins that have this capability. Another neurotoxin and a Botox competitor on the market currently in the US is Dysport.

What are Botox and Dysport Capable of?

Botox and Dysport prevent lines from showing—and worsening—by making it impossible for the frown muscles in the center of your forehead between your eyebrow to contract.  With this temporary paralysis of these muscles, the lines between your eyebrows and the horizontal lines in the forehead soften and may even disappear.  The eyebrows often elevate to a younger looking position and the eyes appear more open and youthful.

The beneficial paralytic effect of Botox or Dysport on these muscles of expression in the forehead last on average three to four months.

Are Botox or Dysport Right for You?

If you have lines on your forehead, particularly the “parentheses” between your eyes that often make people look as though they’re constantly scowling, then Botox or Dysport is an appropriate temporary remedy. These lines can be hereditary and can develop as early as your twenties, so if you have them then you should begin neurotoxin treatment as soon as possible. Studies have shown that long-term use of Botox or Dysport can actually keep new lines from forming and prevent old lines from worsening, so the sooner you begin the treatment, the better.

Dr. Richard Fisher Speaks about Breast Implants

    Last updated 1 year ago

Both silicone and saline implants are safe and approved for use in breast augmentation surgery. As this video explains, each type of implant has unique benefits and disadvantages to consider, which can be described in detail by your doctor.

While both types of implants contain a silicone shell, silicone implants are filled with a gel and saline implants are filled with a sterile liquid. Because of this, each type of implant has a unique feel and look once it is placed.

To determine what type of implant is best for you, schedule a free consultation with Peoria Cosmetic Surgery by calling (623) 876-9494. We provide excellent medical care backed by years of experience in performing cosmetic procedures.
